Our Background
In 2018, a small group of visionary women in Bagdad saw that poverty was stealing two things: their children’s futures and their own potential. They formed Wameku Cingwa Bagdad Women Association – a name that echoes unity and resilience. What started as a small vegetable-vendors at Bagdad village market has grown into a registered community-based organization touching hundreds of lives.
Our Vision
A Family where every woman is financially independent, every girl completes her education, every family eats three meals a day, and no one dies from preventable illness.
Our Mission:
To elevate poverty by increasing household income, sponsoring the girl child for higher education, improving community health, and promoting sustainable farming of food, fruits, and cash crops.
Education Department
The objective is to empower girls through quality education, vocational training, and mentorship for a self-reliant future by sponsoring brilliant girls for higher education.
Health Promotion Department
The objective is to improve community health by ensuring access to clean water, proper nutrition, maternal care, reproductive health services, and disease prevention awareness.
Livelihood Department
The objective is to increase household income by equipping women with entrepreneurial skills, financial literacy, savings groups, and market linkages for sustainable income-generating activities for self sustainability.
